Dave’s List of the Top 10 Tablestitters for 2013

I know you have all been waiting with bated breath for the least influential and latest list of the 2013 season. I always wait until the end because even in the last week something may come in and knock me off my feet. Or something that has been out on other Best of Lists which include CD’s may come out on vinyl, e.g. Lorde’s “Pure Heroine” which just arrived on vinyl for us the day before Christmas Eve. Sorry Lorde you did not make the list. This is Dave’s list of things that I could just not get off the turntable thus the name tablesitter. These are VINYL ONLY releases from January 1 2013 to December 31 2013 and they are the ones that impressed DAVE the most. So here ya go a taste of Dave’s taste in tasty vinyl in no particular order because they are all worthy! Hope it’s your cup of tea…

Deafheaven – Sunbather

JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound – Howl

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds – Push The Sky Away

Janelle Monae – The Electric Lady

David Bowie – The Next Day

Handsome Family – Wilderness

Queens of the Stone Age – …like Clockwork

Robbie Fulks – Gone Away Backward

Savages – Silence Yourself

Kacey Musgraves – Same Trailer, Different Park

If you don’t like it…discuss or don’t because it is here and finished so you’ll have to wait until next year for another one.
